An electric bike or scooter is one of the most convenient ways to get around town. They're fast, compact and a lot more affordable than a car or truck. And with early Black Friday deals already in full swing, you can snag one at a serious discount right now. Below, we've rounded up some of the best prices available on several of our favorite e-bikes and electric scooters of 2024. And we'll continue to update this page as more offers pop up throughout the holiday shopping season, so be sure to check back often.

Rideables aren't the only thing on sale ahead of Black Friday either. You can check out our roundups of all the best early deals at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target for tons of other offers on gadgets, kitchen appliances, home goods and much more.

Thanks to its simple design, seven-speed cassette and detailed LCD display, we named the Aventon Soltera 2 the overall best e-bike of 2024. It features a 350-watt motor, a top speed of 20mph and a maximum range of up to 46 miles. It's also equipped with integrated lights and turn signals, and it has four levels of pedal assistance.

The Apollo Go is our favorite electric scooter on the market right now, boasting dual 350-watt motors for a 28 mph max speed, a 30-mile range and a maximum load of up to 265 pounds. It's also equipped with built-in lights and both front and rear suspension. Plus, it has a built-in phone mount, and you can monitor your speed, distance, estimated battery and more.

The VX2 Pro GT is a more affordable alternative to the Apollo Go above, and it's our favorite electric scooter for running errands around town. With 1,300 watts of power, it can reach speeds of up to 24 mph, and the 16,000 mAh battery has a range of up to 37 miles.

While a low price may be enticing, it's not the only thing you'll need to consider when you're shopping for a rideable. First, be sure to check weight limits. Not only will you need a bike that will work with your frame, but if you plan on carrying things like loads of groceries with you often, you will want to keep those weights in mind as well. You'll also want to consider the maximum speed and distance these rideables can go, especially if you plan to use yours for a specific commute. You should also make sure that your e-bike or electric scooter is designed for the terrain you'll be riding on.

While you can find deals on e-bikes and scooters year-round, Black Friday is still the best time to buy. With deals are in full swing at most major retailers -- and quite a few brands are offering direct discounts of their own -- we expect there to be a much wider selection on sale around the holiday shopping season. This means you'll have a much easier time finding the best e-bike or electric scooter for your needs at a low price.
